1. Block your narrative out (plan the story in chunks or episodes).
- re-read your interview
- plan at least five distinctive scenes or parts of the story that you are telling
- use a Google Doc to plan and write this entire narrative essay

2. Consider what you will focus on in your writing.
- one event?
- several events?
3. How will you use imagery? What other figurative language would capture the voice of your interviewee?
4. How will you start?

5. How will you keep the story moving along?
6. How will you finish the story?
7. Most importantly, how will this essay sound like the person you interviewed? What words, phrases, ideas, and emotions must shine through in this essay?
